The transition from a standard ringed planner to a Midori/Fauxdori type of planner has been a fun experience for me! I have been enjoying making my own dashboards and inserts and have been learning a lot about writing lists and the art of journaling and doodling. It has also inspired me to look into calligraphy, since that seems to be a very popular and fascinating trend in the world of traveler’s notebook fans.
Because I have been designing my own inserts and I enjoy creating themes and customized items, I ended up accumulating large amounts of leftovers that I was not sure that I could use with my traveler’s notebook because your regular ring planner (Personal Size) is a tad thinner and shorter than the Standard Size Fauxdori. I was kind of bummed that all the stuff that I had left was not going to be reused. Until washi tape came to the rescue and I created this fun insert from an old wish list and which is now stuck to a regular sized page inside my notebook.
It occurred to me that I can use ANY leftover page that I want by using this idea. It saves me time and paper and that way, I don’t have to worry about printing my own stuff, when I am so busy making and creating the items for my shop! Today, this post from Julie (a fellow traveler's notebook fan) reminded me that I have been wanting to move some paper around and recycle my old (unused) printouts so I am happy that she made that post, which goes hand in hand with what I have been meaning to do.
Speaking of inserts, I just added The Orange Porcupine Collection to the shop! It is a collection of printable inserts for Traveler's Notebook, which includes daily, monthly, weekly, notes and some freebie printables. It is beyond cute and at a great, affordable price! There is also a fun freebie that I wanted to share with you, so here is the typewriter image. Big credit to the girl who made her own and then posted her picture in one of the Facebook groups, that I frequently visit! I thought it was worth sharing with my followers.
Hope you like this idea and that you enjoy my post and the new items. If you happen to know of other ways to do this, please share with me!
