I am so excited to be writing what I think will be my last post of 2016. Can't believe that this year is over! I am in awe of how fast time has passed and how much has happened since January 2016. I can sit here and reflect on this year and just enjoy the happiness and blessings that this year has given me and also be grateful for the challenges that we faced and how my family got closer because of that. For most of the year, I have been blessed with an amazing new relationship and we have been moving toward our goals together and even bought a house! Spring and Summer were fun and busy and then when we started looking into the new house purchase, we had to put all our senses and resources into that plan. We officially became new homeowners the day after Thanksgiving and we have been seen roaming the aisles of all the hardware and appliances stores of Orlando. What a trip this has been!!
So far, the holiday season has been great! His parents spent Christmas with us and we even hosted our first Christmas' party, which was a big success and lots of fun because we were surrounded by sweet and caring people! I am very much looking forward to other visits and lots of family and friends coming over to check our new place and at the same time, to enjoy some quiet time so I can start putting my new craft cave together. I gave a little hint of how the room may be looking in the future, on Instagram, but for now, it is definitely a work in progress. So, as you can imagine, putting that room together is part of my goals for 2017. I am looking at other goals, such as more time at the gym, decluttering and organizing, creating new and exciting products for my shop and even some career goals that I have been putting on hold for too long. I created my own list and as you know, from reading the About section of my site, I am all about happiness and its pursuit so my belief is that you can plan it, just as much as you can plan your next visit to the hairdresser. As a matter of fact, it is known that you can achieve happiness once you stop procastinating and star doing, so let us start, shall we?
First of all, plan it! Write a list. A list of actionable goals, things that you want to do, see, accomplish, stop doing, do more of, wear more, learn about. You get that? Things with a purpose, things with a benefit and no matter how hard they may seem, put them down on your list. You want to see them in paper and you want to eventually check them off. Hold yoursefl accountable although if you can't get to finish them, at least start. It all comes from taking that first step! Another known fact about goals, is that what you do daily is what gets you to succeed. One thing, two things, lots of things, but do them daily. Again, put it in writing. I am excited about this new design of daily inserts for the shop because I created it using my own goals as the measure.
Also excited to report that I made you something to give you a push! This freebie will get you excited because it is pretty and designed to be printed on the front and the back. The front is a January 2017 calendar made in a pink marble design and the back is an actual a list of actionable items that I am going to call your New Year's Resolutions.
Please tag me on Facebook and Instagram @planningtobehappy, if you get to use these pieces, they are made A5 planners but easily converted to other sizes. I hope that you can share your plans with me and wishing all of you an amazing year and many, many joy and happiness for 2017!!
