Day one was perfect to go to La Jolla and enjoy the weather. Not too chilly, not too warm! Allowed me to wear my staple white shorts and comfy boots. We found a great spot to get the truly beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, all swoled-up filled with dozens of surfers in their element, chasing waves and sharing the fun. We also went shopping to Mira Mesa Blvd. When I found out that I was coming to San Diego, I knew I had to go visit Daiso Japan! Ahhh, I loved it there! Browsed through every single aisle and found the cutest planner goodies that I will share later!
The trip was filled with great moments and one of them was meeting with my sister and my aunt, who we met for wine tasting and dinner! The Temecula Winery region was striving and the perfect weather made it a great day to enjoy the outdoors. While sipping Riesling, we loved listening to my aunt's stories. Two bottles later and my cheeks were hurting from all the laughter!
On our way back to San Diego, we drove by the Cabrillo National Monument and I was able to quickly see most of San Diego and nearby areas, from an amazing view! It was already dark, so the lights made it and incredible sight. For more information on this area, you can visit here. We couldn't leave San Diego, if there wasn't a quick tour of the Naval Reservation and the Harbour View. There were submarines, the oldest active sailboat, the maritime museum with a great history, and from across the street, even a glimpse of the San Diego City Administration Building.
Now we are home! Tired because we fit so much in this tight schedule but hopeful that we can get to enjoy more of these amazing mini-vacay in our calendar! Let's plan it!
